i personally believe that human beings are limitless and it is our perceptions and beliefs stopping us from our full potential.
the human mind has brainwaves: amplitude and frequency.
amplitude is split into 4 categories (Alpha, Beta, Theta, Delta)
it is a fact that most people are producing Alpha waves during day to day activity (most alert and conscious). it is also associated with intellectual thought and left brained thinking.
the other 3 waves have higher amplitude and lower frequency (more associated with right brain, creativity and dream states)
surely reaching other states of brainwaves while conscious allows for a more creative and expanded mind than that of the conscious Alpha wave?
Example of this would be that you need a blank canvas to create art. if our minds are conscious and full of thought, we don't have the opportunity to create/invent.
there are methods for reaching different mental states (Bhuddism - meditation). some use natural substances (psilocybin shrooms, marijuana etc) and im sure there are many more.
so, should we consider spending more time tapping into the subconscious which could in turn change our conscious world around us?
