Open Question: How can Buddhism help to control desires?
Will sitting meditation help me to start diminishing desires?
I am not buddhist and am not loking for any kind of religious/philisophical ties, but I understand the techniques can be practised in a relaxed manner, and I am hoping there is some way to calm lustful desires?
It is about getting rid of desires,
"Desires are inexhaustible, I vow to put an end to them", the whole point of buddhism is attaining buddahood, and once you are a buddha you experience no desire.
