Voting Question: I have problems dealing with IBS?
About 3 years ago I spent a lot of time at the doctors with stomach issues, only to find out I have IBS, after nothing physical was found to be wrong. I am now an A-Level student very close to my final exams and my IBS is really affecting my daily life. I have Parcopresis (an issue with using toilets outside my own home) so am forced to stay at home whenever I have a bout of my IBS. I have kept numerous food diaries but have so far found no links between my symptoms and certain foods, so have put it all down to stress. I have tried many stress relaxation techniques, such as meditation and drugs (Kalms and Bach Rescue Remedy) but have had no luck. It has come to the point where I am missing whole days of Sixth Form at a time so crucial to my education. Does anyone have any advice on how to deal with this? Or even a way to prolong the pain and symptoms until the evenings?
