I think it's funny when he does commercials in a meditation scene -- he's sitting there pretending to meditate. "He doesn't meditate. He's a guy who grabs his crotch at people. He was actually talking while Lyoto Machida knocked him out.

Open Question: Benefits of Meditation? and other stress relief techniques?



I'm a Pre-Dentistry and Biology major and Chemistry minor and I'm graduating in 5 weeks. I'll be starting dental school in the fall. I'm already under large amounts of stress, yet, I know dental school will be much worse. I'm working on anxiety and stress relief and trying to find ways to feel better. I exercise regularly and have a good diet. On top of school work, which I spend about 40 hours a week on alone, I also work a full time job. I'm a dental assistant in an emergency clinic and work nights and I'm on call all the time. Sleep is something that's lacking in my life which is increasing my stress. I'll be quitting my job before dental school starts, but still, I need to know if meditation is going to be beneficial for me. I'm not sure whether to buy a DVD, or even how to meditate. Either way, I'd like to know other benefits aside from stress relief, but also what are my other options besides meditation?
