Voting Question: blocking pain with the mind?

Recently I have become very interested in methods of blocking pain without the use of drugs. I have injured myself multiple times with lighters and cigarettes while trying some of these methods, which include meditation and adrenaline rushes. I have found that one of the more basic forms of meditation can do the job, and by simply viewing the colors of the rainbow in your mind, you will find it is is the fastest and easiest way to get into your beta state. A good example would be to invision a red ball or mass, then to go down the rainbow when you feel ready to move to the next color. I have found that viewing white seems to give me the best results, and I was wondering if anyone knows of any other way to block pain using the power of the mind?
i should also add that i am trained in wing chun muay thai and pradal serey to high levels and have been getting into the power of the mind of some years now it has only been recently i have focused on pain. also i am not some freak that enjoys pain i dont like pain and this is the reason for trying to block it
